The lights are dim on Broadway...

My support goes out to Local One and all of the stage hands standing out in the cold today. It's been an interesting year for Broadway so far. It's very unfortunate that we now find ourselves in the middle of a strike. We are going on to 4 shows being dark at Spring Awakening. Yes, I am missing Melchior performances. Trust me, that is the least of my worries at this point.

It's not just the audience who's hurting from this terrible situation. Actors, Dressers, Stage Managers, Ushers...the list goes on and on...and we all be out of work until this is resolved. One scary thought for some Broadway shows is that Friday night may have been their last. It also affects all of the business that surrounds Broadway...restaurants, shops...

It's a difficult thing for all of us. Everyone is just praying this is resolved soon.
