Last Night

was incredible.

I am floored by the amount of support and love that was in the room. Last night meant the world to me.

If you haven't read it yet, check out the Playbill.com "Cue and A" article here.

I cannot wait for next week. I promise I will write more when I'm not in rehearsals for 9 hours.

You should post a list of the songs and the artists. Some of them were obvious, but I know in my case some of them were new to me.

Great job! Can't wait for BBB! :)

You were so fantastic last night! I still can't get over how amazing you and your guests were. And it was great talking to you after. I've missed you!

I just read the Q&A and I found it ironic that you want to play Romeo since in Bare your character was at least in the play but got Mercutio. I think you would make a great Romeo though. The only male ingenue. The innocent "Bambi" eyes could pull that off. lol. I'd go see that.

I really just wanted to comment so that every single comment wasn't from someone named Shannon....

No, seriously, I told you how fantastic you were last night. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to do it all again next week!

I sadly couldn't be there because I live in another country, but the videos posted of the show are amazing. (Thank you, girl who brought the tripod!) Congrats on a night of amazing performances, Matt. You're ridiculously talented.

Last night was amazing, Matt!

Such a fabulous night of music of which you should be so proud! It was great seeing you, and I can't wait to see Bye Bye Birdie! :)

The show last night was perfect. I felt funny being the only guy out on the sidewalk amidst the throngs of teen girls, but it was really great meeting you.

Your song choices were perfect and we're all sang beautifully. Especially the one with Alice, Falling Slowly, which was my favorite. Can't wait until Bye Bye Birdie. :)

So last night was so incredible. I don't really know how to describe it but it's kind of like whenever you sing, nothing else exists but the music, and as a music kid, that's so special. And speaking of music, you have the best music taste in the world (To Make You Feel My Love is one of my top played, too) and the song choices were perfect. I can't wait until I can see you perform again. =)

Amazing performance, amazing set list. Would you ever consider singing a song by City and Colour?

Thorougly enjoyed the show! We lauged (quietly) cuz at one point we noticed not one person was eating, drinking or talking - you put everyone in a Matt trance with swirly hypno eyes like in Scooby Doo. What was the song with Blake Daniel? It was beautiful. And tell your mom - my date said "I heard a lady say she was his mom, but I turned around and she looked like 30." Thanks for a fun time!

So, do you know why Stephen Schwartz was there or was it just some guy that every gulity one thought was him?

Thank you Anonymous. It was literally driving me crazy because I knew I recognized that guy but couldn't place him. I was mistakenly tagging him as Steven Sater but knew that was wrong. At least I had the first name right. lol

If you’re referring to the old guy that was seated behind the piano and then moved in front of center stage…sorry ladies…it wasn’t Stephen Schwartz, it was me, but if I could cast him as Pippin I would. I’m looking forward to seeing him again on the 27th. I just wanted to clear this up so Matt wouldn’t be waiting for a call from Mr. Schwartz.

How did I not know about Justin Nozuka? He's all over utube & one vid has 7 mil hits! Oh well, thx for introducing me to him, he's great. But...I can't hear any version of Golden Train now but yours with Blake, it was brilliant & I find myself singing it (with your voices in my head) everywhere I go.

The "Stephen Schwartz" in question I saw was sitting at a table on the upper level, in front of the bar. Was that you?

No, I was right in front of the stage...so maybe he was there. Sorry for thinking you meant me.

I was so exited to find out that you did two of my favorite songs- Golden Train and Falling
Slowly! I just watched them on youtube and I wish i could have been there... they both sounded AMAZING!
congrats!
